It will also suit staff at existing Centres, who are about to teach the Edexcel course for the first time. read more and book |

New to Economics - 3 day course London, July 5th - 7th 2010 |
A-Z's 3-Day course is run in conjunction with the Institute of Education and Marwan Mikdadi of St Paul's School. In 2009 Marwan was the course leader, but aided by many guest speakers including Professor D R Myddelton and James McQuillan, fresh from The Apprentice studios. In 2010, the tutors will include Senior Examiners from the main awarding bodies and the 3 days will offer advice on 'How to teach...' plus sessions on exam papers and marking standards. This course is ideal for anyone introducing Economics for the first time, new to an Economics department or plain rusty. read more & book

NQT/New to Business Studies - 3 day course London, July 12th - 14th 2010 This course is a serious attempt to prepare teachers to deliver Business Studies for the first time. It includes direct instruction on how to teach elasticity, accounts and ratios, investment appraisal, motivation and many other key topics. There will be input from inspectors and Chief Examinors to clarify the standards sought in the classroom. The July 2009 course was a great success - largely because three intensive days can make a real difference. Delegates receive a memory stick with a huge wealth of Ian Marcouse's resources. read more & book
