Innovative Revision Supplement to Your Teaching

For many years I have been explaining the subject and the exams to students in the face-to-face setting of a Conference Hall. I still plan to run those events every December, but they have become increasingly frustrating in the Spring. Bureaucracy and high travel costs make it hard to run successful trips before the summer exams.
So here is a solution. A full programme of revision events for schools , but run on-line. Your students will hear me speak and watch my Powerpoints (or other props, such as an exam paper or student exam answer) , but from a computer in your school. If this was a full-day event it would be hard for students to concentrate, but the idea is to run 90-minute events, long enough to have impact without too much risk of spreading narcolepsy.
Each session is priced at £50 (£59 from March 1st). This is a flat rate, allowing you to show the broadcast to as many students and staff as you wish. You might want to charge students a few pounds for this to make it break-even. The 2010 price is an introductory one to trial the events. It is likely that the ongoing 2011 price will be £80.
From my end, I have to pay for the software that makes it possible, and hire a technician to help run the session. Then A-Z Business Training has to handle the administration.
Clearly there are potential benefits from getting some instruction prior to the exams. 80% of what I say will reiterate your own words; 20% will provide some new insights; both functions are valuable. The sessions will also be very helpful to students taking Resits, for whom we struggle to keep on top of their exam technique.
What Kit Do I need?
· Either a classroom of computers, wired for sound with headphones, so that students can listen individually
· Or a classroom with a data projector, showing the Powerpoints to all, with the sound coming through speakers.
You do not need any funky software. It works on anything from Windows 95 to Vista and Windows 7 (and Apple).
How do I book?
To book, all you need to do is fax the form below to 020 8540 4188 or email your requirements to atozbusinesstraining@btopenworld.com together with a Purchase Order, if that is required by your accounts folk. We will then email you a code that provides access to the event. (The system is tried and tested; but if you have technical problems we will reimburse without a quibble.)
NB Each booking is for an Event. This covers you for all occasions on which the event is run. If some students are unavailable for Session A, they have free access to Session B. Or students can attend two sessions.
The running time is 90 minutes, but I will stay online for a Q&A for up to 90 minutes afterwards.
